Product Junkies Unite

Hi, guys! Wow! Have I mentioned before that life has been crazy lately? Maybe a few hundred times, I’m sure! Don’t mind me though; I’ve just been keeping myself occupied with the usual…busting my peach at work, perfecting my squats on the Bosu ball and pulling petals off of flowers to find out if a guy likes me or not. Basic girl stuff, ya know?

I had also been anxiously waiting for some packages to show up on my door step. My adorable new prescription glasses from Zenni Optical, some patterned vinyl for my Cricut machine and my FabFitFun box!

A couple of weeks ago I was able to become an affiliate for FabFitFun and I couldn’t be more excited. I mostly love it because I don’t have to hassle people to buy it! There aren’t any crazy start-up kit fees and I don’t have to recruit people to sell underneath me. All I have to do is advertise the amazing products that I get seasonally, and it pretty much sells itself. I mean, it’s over $200 worth of name-brand products for just $50 every three months– (but new subscribers get $10 off of their first box, just by clicking my link and using my code, “SUNSHINE”)! Hey, I said that I wasn’t going to hassle you, not that I wasn’t going to try to sell it at all! 😉

Anyways, my Editor’s box finally came in and overall, the full-sized products that I received ended up retailing at $285! It’s freakin’ amazing, y’all. I gave a little sneak peak last week on my Instagram of a couple of the items, but now I’m going to reveal the whole shebang! It’s like Christmas in April! Let’s start with the product I was most excited to get…

Tarte – Double Duty Beauty Eyeshadow Palette $30

I’ve been wanting this palette for quite some time, and the reviews are great, but I JUST bought the Jaclyn Hill eyeshadow palette, so I couldn’t justify spending money on these additional colors. Once I opened it, I immediately had to test them out and guys, these shadows are so pretty! I am definitely a neutrals gal, so these warm brown and gold tones made my eyes light up like the Fourth of July. They blend together perfectly and I got so many compliments on my smokey eye this past weekend. Win!

Ayesha Curry – “I’d Rather Be in Bed” mug $16

Truer words have never been spoken. I am your typical #NapQueen. How cute is this though? I don’t drink coffee, but I do drink hot cocoa…and also, I have this weird obsession with collecting cute mugs. Some people collect unicorns, I collect mugs. But in this case, I know exactly who I’m going to gift this to.

Briogeo- “Don’t Despair, Repair!” Deep Conditioning Hair Mask – $30

In November, I decided to go blonde. Can you guess who’s hair still hasn’t recovered? Yup…mine. I’ve already dyed it back brunette, yet my ends continue to break and my hair is dry and hasn’t grown at all! I have desperately been looking for a miracle, and it looks like this hair mask just might be the answer! Disclosure: This product is for damaged hair and cannot be applied to damaged relationships.

Rachel Pally – Reversible Clutch in Bloom – $60

Say hello to the cutest clutch around! I’m OBSESSED! This patterned clutch is the perfect complement to any outfit. And the best part? It’s reversible! It’s large enough to hold all of my belongings PLUS my date’s when he doesn’t feel like being responsible for his wallet, his keys or his wandering eyes. I could probably fit a slice of pizza in there too (just in case). I’ll be flaunting mine at the Lakeland Derby this Friday.

Daily Concepts – Hair Towel Wrap – $18

For those of you who really know me, you KNOW that I despise washing my hair. It’s so thick and blow-drying takes for-ev-er (insert The Sandlot clip). I usually try to shower or take a bath without getting my hair wet, but 9 times out of 10, I fail miserably. This item wasn’t necessarily something I would want to spend money on, but have always intended to whenever I had the “extra cash laying around”, a.k.a never. It’s been one week since I got the towel wrap and I’ve used it four times! BONUS: It reduces frizz and even cuts blow-drying time in half, so I ended up twisting my wet mop up in it the other night after I washed it. It’s obviously very sexy, too.

Grace & Stella – Bath Bombs (4 pack) – $16

Do you know what goes well with hair towel wraps in a hot a bath? If you answered, “Jason Momoa with a sandalwood candle and a bottle of Prosecco“, your answer ain’t wrong– but please don’t forget to include these Grace & Stella bath bombs. With ingredients such as shea butter, cocoa butter, argan oil and olive oil to nourish the skin, please take all of the time you need to relax and pamper yourself. I’ve already used all of my bath bombs, and so now I have to take the ones that came in my mother’s FabFitFun box. Sorry, mom!

Kate Somerville – ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment – $75

I am a product junkie when it comes to skincare. I don’t have the greatest complexion, and nobody told me I’d continue to get breakouts as an adult. That being said, I will spend any amount of money if it means that my skin will be flawless. I’ve done a lot of research and Kate Somerville is definitely a cult-favorite. It uses both physical and chemical exfoliation to improve the appearance of skin texture and pores while brightening and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Um, yes please! It smells SO good and I love how it tingles on my skin. I have already noticed a difference in my complexion! It’s been one week and I’ve completely converted to Kate-tholocism (I just made that up). I ain’t ever goin’ back!

Free People x Understated Leather – Starry Eyed Travel Eye Mask in Gray – $40

If I could get paid to take naps, I’d be rich. I can nap anytime and anywhere; however, my window blinds tend to let in a lot of sunlight in the mornings and my vampiresque attributes are not a fan. Luckily, this eye mask is so comfortable and helps to keep my bed-tomb nice and dark while I dream. It even has a cooling insert to keep me looking and feeling refreshed.  I only wish that I would have gotten it in the color mint!
